Keep.it.brief is a wonderful Instagram account to keep you occupied in your spare time. It's quite simply an Instagram account that posts weekly briefs and features the submissions.
This time around the brief was for a logo design, so I figured I'd take on the challenge. Since most of my designs in the past are quite modern and minimalistic I thought I'd challenge myself by leaving my comfort zone and doing something more illustrated. This was both to see the design from a new angel and to fit the brief of keeping the 90's rave aesthetic.

I found the colour palette while looking through visual inspiration, while the liquid glitch effects were inspired by the big drug culture at the time. Not that it's going to reflect the company in any way, but I thought it created a very interesting visual style for the brand. One that is very different from my usual work.
