So here we are. The website you are on just went live today, and in many ways marked the beginning of a new era for me. A new time, a new country, a new routine, everything is new and nothing is like it used to be. Terrifying to many as a fellow university graduate I can account for seeing the fear of my peers.
Strangely enough, I am just excited, yes there are uncertainties, and yes I need to make a living now as an "adult", but in my mind, that'll all figure itself out. No, the way I think about this time is like I mentioned before, everything is new! Everything is possible now!
While in university or school, in general, you are limited by your daily routine. You get up, get ready, go to school, get home, sleep and repeat (grossly oversimplified of course). Don't get me wrong, I have some amazing friends and memories I've received from my years in education, but now I'm living in a time where I don't have a determined routine.
I like it when there is something new happening. That's why my biggest dream is to become so successful they want me everywhere in the world, or at least to make enough from my living to be able to travel the world. Call me greedy, but I want to see it all! This is why I am so excited because now it is possible! Obviously not right away, and there is a buttload of work ahead of me, but just the thought that it might be my future is enough of a drive to keep me going.
And I wish to bring all of you with me on this journey. Therefore I have decided to start this blog. I've never been much of a writer, anything from academic essays to texts, I generally find it hard to articulate my thoughts with writing. Despite this, I believe it would be interesting seeing my journey from bachelor graduate to a full-fledged senior designer in the future.
Maybe at the end of it all, this will be a journal just for me, but that is also okay, cause I have no doubt I'll look back at all the wonderful memories and crack a smile.
Now, for what can be expected on this blog are all things related to my development as a graphic designer. Be it going to conventions or conferences around the world, or be it changing up my lifestyle to better my health or creativity. Given my big dream of seeing the world, I will naturally also make a few posts regarding my travels, and for a bit of fun flavour (pun intended), I'll be doing plain burger reviews! You can read more about that HERE in my very first post ever.
Seen as I have yet to create anything more complex than HTML and CSS for my website, and if I've piqued your interest then consider bookmarking my blog, as I imagen this being the easiest way to stay up to date for now.
Either way, I am happy that you have found your way to my website today and hope you enjoy the rest of the site. If we end up meeting and collaborating in any way, know that I am greatly looking forward to it.
